Privacy & Terms

We can't stand long, winding privacy policies with sneaky details hidden behind complicated jargon. We want to make this as simple as possible. Here's the gist of it.

  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it. We require your phone number and email for the service. We only use this information to contact you for completing your journal entries and provide you with information about our products and services. We employ SSL encryption to protect your data while it's being sent.

  • Your data is truly private. We don’t show ads on 60 Seconds Everyday, nor do we sell your data - which lets us focus on making the best possible product that is solely focused on helping you. However, it does mean that we need to charge a monthly fee to keep 60 Seconds Everyday running and improving. Our objective is to help you keep track of your memories to live a happier life, and these incentives are aligned when you’re paying a low monthly subscription.

  • We do not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information. Cookies are only used to improve the user experience on our site and our services.

In short, we believe in respecting your privacy. The full policy can be found below.

Information Collection

When you browse 60 Seconds Everyday's publicly accessible web site, you do so anonymously. 60 Seconds Everyday collects personally identifiable information from you only if you choose to provide this information to us. The types of personal information we may collect about you through our publicly accessible web site include the following (should you decide to provide such information to 60 Seconds Everyday): contact and identifying information (e.g., e-mail address, phone, time zone) in connection with your expression of interest in receiving information about, or your registering for, 60 Seconds Everyday products, services, or newsletters. Access to certain 60 Seconds Everyday web pages and online services is not available to the general public and requires a registered account.

60 Seconds Everyday is committed to protecting the personal information that we receive about consumers. We utilize a combination of online and offline security technologies, procedures and organizational measures to help safeguard consumer information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. We employ Secure Socket Layer (SSL) data encryption when data is transmitted over the Internet to our web site. We have installed layered firewalls and other security technologies to help prevent unauthorized access to our systems. Strong password protection protocols are used on our computers, and employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy policies. The servers used to store consumer information are maintained in a secure environment with appropriate security measures. We will make any legally-required disclosures of any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your electronically stored personal data to you via email or conspicuous posting on this Site in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, consistent with (i) the legitimate needs of law enforcement or (ii) any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system.

After your free trial, we offer two tiers of paid accounts. Those who upgrade for our service will be charged a monthly fee. Through the website, you can upgrade with Paypal. We use Paypal to store credit cards and do the monthly billing. Credit card details are stored entirely by Paypal and not by us. We only store a token linked to that credit card, and none of your actual credit card information.

Like many websites, we also use "cookie" technology to collect additional website usage data and to improve the Site and our service. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer's hard disk. We do not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information. 60 Seconds Everyday may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with the site and our service, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on the Site, and to improve the Site and our services. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser help file directions. Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. You can instruct your browser, by editing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit.
